Here are some charts with the indicator we are going to use on them
What we are using is a 10 bar simple moving average of the highs
And an 8 bar simple moving average of the lows
This gives us a moving average channel or moving average bands on the chart
Here are some charts with the 10-10 bands on them
Is there anything that stands out about price with the bands on the chart
See the answer to that question, below the charts
The above charts show that
#1 - When the market is in an uptrend, price tends to stay above the 10-8 bands
#2 - When the market is in a downtrend, price tends to stay below the 10-8 bands
We can use that information -Right ?!!!!
I think so anyway - If we boil trading down to a nutshell
What are we looking for ?????
Something that will keep us on the right side of the market - most of the time
Of course the 10-10 bands don't work all of the time - nothing does
But this works most of the time - and that is good enough to make money
If it works most of the time - that will put the trading odds in our favor
If you took the idea or information we just looked at
And just made sure you stayed on the right side of the 10-8 bands
If price was above the bands get long
If price was below the bands get short
I really think you would have more knowledge or a better system
Than most of the traders out there right now
But we are going to add some specific techniques and ideas
To help make this simple concept even better
We are always going to keep working with the bands
And always be working to try to improve our trading with the bands
Here's a few trading ideas - coming up - that I hope you like
